We are pleased to announce that we have chosen Vision Support Trading as our provider of alternative formats, such as Braille, Large Print and Audio. Vision Support Trading (VST) is one of the UK’s leading providers of dedicated transcription service solutions for the visually impaired. One of its unique characteristics is that it is a social enterprise working alongside its parent charity Vision Support, this means that all the profits from its commercial activities are fed back into the community to assist people with sight loss to maintain their independence.
If you would like us to provide any of our information in an alternative format please let us know, your requirements.
Jan 2010 - EDF outage in Dartford, July 2009
Ofgem?s auditors have now received the outstanding information from Kent Constabulary. The auditors are currently finalising their report, which is expected to be published in February.
Dec 2009 - EDF power outage in Dartford, July 2009
We are here to provide advice about whether complaints about this incident may be acceptable and, if so, to accept them when appropriate.
At the moment we await Ofgem?s review and decision, which is why we are unable formally to accept any complaints about the incident. However, we have registered (but not accepted) several complaints that have been made to us and will keep the complainants informed of developments.
In the event that Ofgem determines EDF was at fault for the outage, it has several options and we cannot forecast what the outcome could be. Depending on Ofgem?s choice of option, it is possible that the Energy Ombudsman could accept complaints about the occurrence.
If Ofgem determines that EDF Energy was not at fault, then it would be for the company to decide whether or not to alter its voluntary ?50 offer. If this was the outcome, the Energy Ombudsman is unlikely to be able to accept complaints about the company?s actions.
